Coaster Zone: The Rollercoaster Social Network

So in your view what is the best coaster name and also the worst coaster name.

For me the best coaster names are like Nemesis, Borg Assimilator and Thunder Dolphin.

I personally hate it when coasters are named either after their type or just "rollercoaster", but in my opinion the worst name by a longshot would have to be The Smiler.

I like The Smiler! It's not particulary imaginative but it fits with the theme of the ride and is unique.

Rides named Rollercoaster are the worst, just no imagination at all. Names like Big Dipper are also bad.

^ The problem I have with The Smiler is that it is a little less imaginative from a park which has brought many good names like Nemesis and is situated in same area of the park with Oblivion which is great name. But they do have far worse names like Air and Rita.

The best coaster names for me are The Swarm, Colossus, Nemesis and Banshee.

Worst names for me are like "Brand": The Ride (eg, Batman: The Ride, Saw: The Ride)

the best names are anything that actually fit the name of the coaster like Gatekeeper, The Beast and others like that.
the worst names are the generic names like Big Dipper and such.

Agreed there, CP2013. Generic names just get so boring, you want something unique that people can remember you by and not get confused with other parks. Generic names don't give that.
