Flying Coasters vs Wing Coasters

Postby Simba » Wed Mar 27, 2013 10:44 am

Flying Coaster vs Wing Coasters, which one offers the better flying experience for you as a rider.
Personally I think the Wing Coasters offer the better flying experience than the proper flying coasters because their is no track above or bellow you, which really does create the effect of flying.

It's a really tough question actually, they both offer different flying experiences, but I think for me the Flying Coaster experience is more closer to flying than the Wing Coaster.

Judging on just Swarm and Air, Air is definitely the better experience. Swarm is fun and is the better ride overall but could feel exactly the same if there were normal trains on it. Air would be notably different.

I agree with Thekingin64, I think the flying coasters are better and give a real simulation of flying, even though, the seating position and the effect created with the wing coasters are spectacular, I still think the flying coasters capture the real spirit of flying, but I also don't think flying coasters should have full on inversions like pretzel loops.

So for me I will have to pick the flying coasters over the wing coasters.

^ I agree about the inversions on flyers. What kind of bird/plane/superhero would do a random loop while flying. That's why I think Air is one of the better flyers out there due to having no inversions and actually feeling like you are flying.

Wing coasters for me. Yes, Flyers are brilliant but I think that Wing coasters are a lot more flexible and you can have a lot more imagination in theming them.
