Mantis - Take One Last Stand

Cedar Point's B&M Stand Up Rollercoaster won't be a stand up coaster in 2015. 19th October will be the final day that riders can ride the Mantis as a Stand Up. The park are highly likely going to be converting it into a B&M Floorless or Sit Down Coaster, what do you think of the news, are you sad to see it as a Standing Coaster or do you think it will be better as a non Stand up coaster.

Interesting decision. Don't quite see why they would bother with the conversion since while they may be less comfy, Stand-ups have more of a general appeal to the public than a sitdown or floorless.

From what I've been reading Mantis hasn't been popular for a number of years, and that this overall is hoping to make it more popular and exciting. I personally think it will be great if they turn it into a Floorless Coaster.

I've scoped out the internet and I found this image



its interesting to see and it really makes you wonder

but then I read an article
it says it's being "gotten rid of"

a lot of this has been somewhat confusing but by my looks so far it has sounded like a removal. but then the test paint made me wonder could mantis be moved to a different park? maybe Michigan's adventure which hasn't received anything since 2008 which was a relocated Vekoma SLC will be getting Mantis. it seems far fetched but who knows.

It could be easily be removed completely CP2013, you are quite right, it's just the promotion for "Take One Last Stand" on the Mantis seems to me they are just implying the stand up coaster side of the experience, as we currently stand Cedar Point have not revealed anything else about the 2015 changes, which means its highly likely that Cedar Fair might not be investing much into Cedar Point for the next season, however only Carowinds has had an announcement, which does seem a little odd to me aswell.
