Kings Island have announced their 2017 Project, a GCI Woodie.

Themed to an area surrounding a lumber company becoming overrun by a mysterious medusa-like overgrowth of vines as nature reclaims its land. Mystic Timbers' stats: it will feature 3,265 feet of track, reaching a peak height of 109 feet and weave along steep cliffs, down ravines, cross over water and go through an extreme S-turn, among a forest of trees. Mystic Timbers is set to reach speeds of up to 53 mph.

I really like the design of this, however I feel this kind of investment would have been more suited for Cedar Point over Kings Island, because Kings Island already has a very terrain hugging Beast wooden coaster which leads me onto my biggest concern about how will the general public guests react to it, and will it bring in new guests, if they had invested in a B&M Flying Coaster I feel that would have been more beneficial as to my knowledge Ohio doesn't have a flying coaster.

I personally think this couldn't have been a better investment, they don't have an in between coaster from the small things like Woodstock express to the beast and this fills that gap. another thing I like is that is has the twisty layout that KI is missing and needs, if we go to CP there is a great contender for a hybrid conversion and then there is plenty of space in the future for a solid woodie. also we need to remember the last time KI had a woodie it didn't work out well and was removed well before it's prime. I think Mystic Timbers will fit perfectly into the lineup of coasters at KI, it also is a great bridge coaster for a giga in the future.

Very nice! Nice to see the GCI in the west similar to the ones they (and GG) have been building in China recently, which should mean I have a greater chance of actually riding it.
