Coaster Zone: The Rollercoaster Social Network

On the 14th March 2017, an incident occurred during winter maintence testing around 10.00 am at the roller coasters Winja's Fear and Winja's Force. Two indoor spinning coasters of seventeen meters high and opened in 2002. Both of the coasters uterlise vertical lifts which under normal ride operation hoists the trains to the peak height of the coaster. According to the authorities the man was crushed by the lift system.

The victim was a permanent employee of the attraction.

Our thoughts and prayers goes out to his family, friends and colleuges.

Not a nice way to die at all, squashed by the elevator lift... All thoughts are with his family at this time.

What I'm trying to workout is how come the ride wasn't e-stopped and locked off, due to a staff member being in and working in the ride area.
