Tsunami leaves nine people stranded in Scotland

Nine riders were stranded for nearly eight hours on the Tsunami roller coaster at "Scotland's Theme Park".
The ride's lift hill suffered a mechanical failure at approximately 4:30pm. The local fire & rescue service removed the first stranded person four hours later. The final person was rescued at 12:45am. No injuries were reported.
Tsunami is a traveling rollercoaster that has appeared at fairgrounds in Brazil, Spain and the (then called) Millennium Dome in London. The ride has been at M&D's since 2004. It features two inversions, is 65ft high and reaches a top speed of 38mph. Tsunami is Scotland's only inverted (hanging) rollercoaster.
