I think it is, OblivionX. The smaller dive coasters have mostly been going to smaller parks with smaller budgets so wouldn't be able to afford a big one. Here, this is a large design in a large park so the larger track and train size would be used.

Even if CP had stuck with the smaller Dive Machine size for this, they would have a serious capacity problem so would have to go for this design, no matter how big the ride actually is.

CP2013 wrote: see if they can even add the splashdown and a tunnel (which this could really use)

Agreed. Even if it is just mentally, the tunnel is what makes Oblivion the great ride that it is. The drop is fantastic on its own but the fact you cannot see the bottom just makes it even better!

The thing is with that logic surly Heide Park or Gardaland have the bigger Dive Coaster design instead of the smaller dive train concept both with big parks which would warrent the bigger dive coaster.

The Immelman has been completed and it now towers over the main midway as the 2nd tallest inversion in the world!

This thing is looking fantastic. This has to be my favourite angle of it so far:

Image
From Tony's Twitter

They should use this angle to make some sort of 3d advert with the train coming out of the screen at you. Would look fantastic if used in a 3d cinema advert.

we have missed a ton on this ride and it has taken a huge change!
the ride is officially 80% complete per cedar point

This is NSFW because of the beauty

also as of winter chillout 2016 Shoot the rapids will be no more as well as the majority of challenge park with some ride removals such as their rip-chord ride
also welcome to a new experience at the park

Sunrise Thrills VIP Tour
This was a popular announcement, for sure. Sunrise Thrills is a morning tour where we show you how we wake our coasters up. You'll see some behind-the-scenes rooms and areas of Valravn, get to watch our morning start-up procedures, learn about ride safety, and potentially, a chance to go to the top of Valravn's lift hill to take some awesome photos!

This thing does look better with every update. Just have to hope my busy schedule allows me a chance to get over there to ride it!

Valravn being complete does look very impressive, I am still very currious as to how the new B&M restraints will work with the diving coaster.

For some things, there is no rational explanation. There is no way out. There is no happy ending to this story. Welcome to the unknown; welcome to eternal darkness, welcome to Oblivion.

It is always a nice moment when another rollercoaster is fully completed, this beast really does look good.

Bolliger and Mabilard really does make some great NSFW coasters, they are really just the complete errotica of the rollercoasdter world, and I get to work with one this year which I still find very hard to believe.

Rest In Peace Shoot The Rapids, albiet it might have only been in the park for not as many years as the other rides, it was quite a cool design, but plagued with issues which I guess made it in-cost-effecitve to be kept in the park.

We are now testing Valravn, also before the cam was moved away I noticed a building-like wall past the 2nd dive and into the dive loop and I think we may have found a tunnel or near miss element
