Coaster Zone: The Rollercoaster Social Network

Iron Shark is a steel roller coaster under construction at Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. The roller coaster will be ready to open with the park in May 2012. Iron Shark will be the first of it's kind in the state of Texas. This will be Gerstlauer’s first eight-passenger Euro-Fighter car to feature lap bars.

According to Galveston Pier they are halfway through the construction of Iron Shark.

I'm most excited on how the trains will look. The color scheme seems good, I think dark purple supports would be better than grey.

The restraints on the train either will be the Skyrush style or the T-bar restraint. I'm wondering which one it will be.

It really is compact that it partially goes over the water (even though the pier is above water).

That would be so weird on the outer seats!

The only problem is that the coaster is VERY short in length. They could've made it longer and kept it compact.

Money and Space. Those are the main 2 things stopping that, XYZ. For it's size, It does have a very good layout. It also stole my idea of a loop into the breakrun!
