I believe the trims are ment to be in the track in normal operation, it's only if something unnatural to the program happens or when the computer system plays up like this last one.

Went on this earlier and I can proudly report that this is an amazing ride. It's a bit rattly going into the inversions but overall this is generally very smooth. The airtime hills both give huge amounts of airtime which I never expected from it. Plus, the staff on the ride have to wear special Smiler uniforms which make them look like Oompa Loompas!

Overall, an utterly amazing ride that deserves the 2 hour queue it had all day today.

That's good to hear Thekingin64, where do you rate it in your favourite coasters?, did you fear it would valley at any point?, and finally how disorientating was it against Colossus?.

Oh and one last question did it make you Smile?

It definitly made me smile, each of the 3 times I got on it. I did fear that it would valley as it was exiting the Batwing but otherwise it ran really quick, especcially over the airtime hills.

I don't really find any coasters dis-entorientating but I bet a load of people would get very dis-entorientated on Smiler.

I also don't really find coaster dis-orientating either, but can easily see why loads of people would too.
Oh how comfy were the seats and restraints?

The seats and restraints are reasonable with The Smiler, I don't think they are the best by far, but they are reasonable.
I was also pretty surprised by how forceful the airtime hills were.

The Smiler does look absolutely amazing from every picture and video I've seen of it. I also think it was very ambitious by Gerstlauer and even Towers to the extent of actually building going for the inversion record with 14.

Yeah The Smiler was definatly an ambitious rollercoaster especially with the 14 inversion record, and even with going for new trains.

The biggest problem with this ride is that it does feel like inversion to inversion to inversion, repeatedly. That's most of the reason the airtime hills always took me by surprise.
