Banshee (Kings Island)

Postby Simba » Fri Apr 18, 2014 8:29 am

Banshee is a steel roller coaster located at Kings Island amusement park in Mason, Ohio. Featuring 4,124 feet (1,257 m) of track, it is the world's longest inverted roller coaster when it opens April 18, 2014. Banshee was designed by Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M) and is the first inverted coaster built in the United States since the Patriot debuted at Worlds of Fun in 2006. It replaced the infamous Son Of Beast wooden coaster.

That really does look nice. I don't know if it's just the camera angle or not but that first drop looks ridiculously steep.

7 Hours! I draw the line at 90 minutes, let alone 7 hours. They were obviously keen to ride it!

I took a trip a little bit ago to kings island and I must admit Banshee is an incredible ride. this is a ride that is more preferred to the back instead of the front because its more of an out of control feeling. the only weird thing I must say is that the heartline at the end really is slow compared to the rest of the ride. (yes I rode to the back and it's much more fun than the front!)
