Oblivion is yet another world's first. It is a B&M Dive Machine designed by John Wardley. The ride consists of a vertical (87 degree) drop into a dark hole, it exits out of the other side into an overbanked turn into a brake run. It opened in 1998.
In 2011 it began it's sponsorship with fanta.

The Dive Machine is probabley one of the most iconic coasters because it holds you at the vertical drop
(Or in the case of Oblivion almost vertical drop)

I totally agree with Ciara's opinion of this coaster

Epic, Epic, Epic, Epic coaster. Very short but somehow that makes it better as it has more focus on the drop of awesomeness
