Coaster Zone: The Rollercoaster Social Network

GateKeeper is a steel roller coaster now open at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, United States. Designed and built by Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), it is the fifth Wing Coaster model in the world and is scheduled to open on May 11, 2013. GateKeeper features the highest inversion in the world with its 170-foot (52 m) Inverted drop. It also broke several records among Wing Coasters including track length, drop height and most inversions.

I really love this rollercoaster, and it is extremely photogenic.

This has to be one of the best B&M Coasters in the world, I am starting to think it is even more exciting than Nemesis which is my all time favourite rollercoaster.

It is open now and apparantly got queues of over 4 hours long! Even for a ride as good as this, I could not queue that long!

I also wouldn't be able to queue for that amount of time either, even if it is an amazing rollercoaster. And to prove how long the queue line has been on this opening day, this picture show that guests are queuing outside it's entrance, I don't remember this happening with the opening weekend of The Swarm last year.

The rest of the park must be really dead because of GateKeeper.

For that queue, I'll be celebrating when I reach the start of the official queueline!

I was supprised by GateKeeper breaking down on it's opening day like The Swarm did.

Woops. That'd been annoying for anyone involved, including the people in the queue!

It's so funny that both The Swarm and GateKeeper suffered from a breakdown on both of their opening days, also slightly weird that they both broke on the lifthill too.
