For the UK members, Vortex at Thorpe Park is a frisbee.

It depends what frisbees you go on, some can be a lot of fun while some can be queazy. It depends on the manufacturer, model, ride program, and park's maitenance crew.

To be honest I would not class Vortex or any Afterburner as a Frisbee because of the way the gondola is designed.

Simba's right there. Afterburner's aren't Frisbees. Technically, the Huss versions are the only true Frisbees, the other versions are called something else, like a Gyro Swing.

The Huss version is well fun. You feel so out of control and there's so much airtime.

I beg to differ. Any ride that is like a spinning pirate ship with inward or outward facing seats and is supended is a frisbee. Afterburners (KMG), Revolutions (Chance), and Gyro Swings (Intamin) are all model names of frisbees, just called something different because HUSS calls their frisbees: frisbees and giant frisbees.

They don't even look like frisbees, a better name would be Gyro Swings.

Don't forget Fabbri's version! Afterburners are Afterburners. Frisbees are Frisbees. Gyro Swings are Gyro swings or Frisbees.

Well, HUSS has the Giant Frisbee which is the same exact thing as a "Gyro Swing". Also, Revolutions are the same exact ride experience. Pretty much it's like Top Spins, some have one side facing, some are suspended, some are two sided, but they are all Top Spins.

Least they look similar. Eagles claw at LWV (Afterburner) which nothing like Flip Flop at FL (Gyro swing) which looks nothing like Black Fly at WMSP (Frisbees). Only Huss's version look like the namesake.
