Coaster Zone: The Rollercoaster Social Network

According to Thorpe's three year strategy this year we will get a medium installment.
Going through history:
2009 - Saw The Ride (Major investment)
2010 - Saw Alive (Medium investment) rethemed Thorpe Bell.
2011 - Storm Surge (Small investment) relocated from Cypress Gardens
2012 - The Swarm (Major investment)
2013 - New Flat Ride (Medium investment)

So what do you think the new ride will be and what location of the park?

There's a map somewhere on CF that shows the locations for new rides. Out of what I can remember, one location was on that Old car ride by Inferno and a different location was to the right of the dome as you enter.

Honestly, I don't think Thorpe will be getting anything in 2013 and shouldn't get anything for 2013. They just got Swarm, a massive investment and I think it would be smart just to continue advertising that it's the new ride throughout 2013 like how Knott's advertised Pony Express as the new ride for multiple years.

That's what I was thinking of! Rides could either go in the locations on the map or something should replace the rapids. They are awful and take up a huge amount of space in relation to the park.

Also, after reading XYZ's post, I do agree with him, slightly. Yes they has been a new ride everyyear and that is good but Saw alive is only a small thing and they've already shut that anyway. Maybe something small for this year with something slighty bigger for next year.

If the Saw theme is kept, I'd take out Saw alive and replace it with a Saw themed Top spin. If it's enclosed with various torture-style themeing about, It would be amazing. Though that theme is the idea of the coaster itself...

If put on an intense cycle, I think a topspin is perfect for Thorpe. Especcially as one of the arms can bend inwards making the car go diagonal.

It would work so well with the Saw theme.
