The Swarm (Thorpe Park)

I know it's part of the theme of it but that video is really dark. Can hardly see a thing.

Actually it was really dark when we rode it, but I thought it would add to the apocalyptic theme of the ride, which was why I brought it.
And Thorpe have timed the fire effect to go off when The Swarm train does the Zero-G:

I have just found a video of The Swarm at night with most lights working:

I now don't have to long to wait until I can ride it in the dark!

The Swarm was great today it only broke down once, and only really for about five to ten minuets, however one of the trains was running with a slightly reduced capacity 26 people instead of 28, due to two seats on the right hand side (of the track) row two specifically which was having computer problems, the OTSR were locking with passengers but the computer was saying they weren't so, they had manually locked them into place, so the park could run both trains at virtually full capacity and without problems with loading and unloading as they were always locked down for the day. The fire effect was working on our first ride of the day, but after a brief ten minuets heavy rain spell, it was turned off.

Another new item of theming has recently been added to The Swarm.

Let's hope Merlin add more theming to it in the closed season!

I was going to post a photo of that! The phone in it rings aswell.

I don't know if was because of the rain when I last went but the fire effect was only going off occasionally. When it did, it was amazing. With how cold it was, i loved the heat coming off it! It looks amazing from Tidal wave's queue.
