Kings Island: Goodbye Firehawk

Postby Simba » Thu Sep 27, 2018 3:11 pm

Kings Island have announced that they will be removing their Vekoma Flying Coaster Firehawk.

Firehawk originally opened as X-Flight at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure on May 26, 2001. Cedar Fair purchased Worlds of Adventure in 2004 and began efforts to downsize the park. In November 2006, Cedar Fair announced plans to relocate X-Flight. Kings Island was later revealed as the destination, and it officially reopened as Firehawk on May 26, 2007.

Firehawk will close with the park on the 28th October 2018.

Pity, It did look a good ride and was relatively unique, have heard it was quite rough though. Hopefully it will get relocated again somewhere.
